Gas boilers

I have been a qualified gas engineer for 20 years. In Scotland, I was initially registered with CORGI that has since been replaced by Gas Safe, registration number 577 509.

I estimate that over the 20 years, I have installed approximately 1500-2000 gas boilers from various manufacturers. Most were however manufactured by Vaillant due to the high quality, reliability and a high range of product which are offered by this company.

Vaillant boilers are state-of-the-art and I am confident that any future users will be pleased with their effectiveness and high quality. The only downside to Vaillant boilers is their price. For customers with a lower budget, boilers manufactured by a British company Glow-Worm are a great alternative.

Since Glow-Worm is part of the Vaillant group, their boilers are mostly built from the same subsystems and the same technical concept. In addition, the warranty period for each boiler is between 7 and 10 years, depending on the model.

I recommend boilers manufactured by both Vaillant and Glow-Worm and I can install any of the following three types:

  • combi boilers
  • system boilers with hot water cylinder
  • open vent boilers

If there is a need to change from one boiler type to another as listed above, a suitable alteration to the pipe network may be required.
